The Scopesmith
Present
http://www.thescopesmith.com
A truly different and challenging animal. Pages that are not part of the e-store was simple HTML/CSS generated from a Photoshop mockup. This site was also my successful foray into e-Commerce, using PDG Commerce to develop the shopping cart.

Marianne Dyson
2010
http://www.mariannedyson.com
Marianne Dyson, award-winning children's author and former NASA flight controller, wanted to revamp her personal website with some CSS magic. Since she was familiar with my work on the RNASA website, she entrusted me with the layout/HTML/CSS revamp. The banner was designed by Lindsey Cousins; I designed the checklist/spacecraft layout with Photoshop.

Rotary National Award for Space Achievement
2010 — Present
http://www.rnasa.org
As an advocate for aerospace developments, it would only be fitting for me to get involved with what is considered the Academy Awards for Aerospace. The Rotary National Award for Space Achievement (RNASA) Foudnation was kind enough to let me redesign their website with CSS and HTML.

American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) - San Diego Chapter
2007 — 2008
http://www.aiaa-sd.org
By revamping this website, the San Diego section won the 2008 AIAA National 2nd place Communications Award. I was also awarded the 2008 AIAA-San Diego Outstanding Contribution Award for my contributions to this website (and for my role as AIAA UCSD student chapter chair).

In the Footsteps of Roger Revelle
2007 — 2008
http://footsteps.ucsd.edu/likey/
It is a pleasure and honor to create a site for an excellent educational program. This could not have been possible without the direction and support of Justin Fields and Ms. Debra Brice. They continue to be my personal cheerleaders in my endeavors to use outlandish and eye-catching color schemes to appeal to young and old audiences. |

WOCE Pacific Ocean Atlas
July 2007 — August 2007
http://www-pord.ucsd.edu/whp_atlas/pacific_index.html
It is a great honor to work on this website that presents impressive information that Nobel-winning oceanographer Dr. Lynne Talley gathered data and analyzed so thoroughly to support Al Gore's environmental stances. I made the layout with Photoshop and Fireworks that inspired the look for another Ocean Atlas. The successful completion of this website would not have been possible without Justin's Field's phenomenal ability to organize and code the volumes of information packaged to fit the layout template I have designed; Dr. Talley's guidance; and Sharon Escher's detailed, impressive, and not to mention comprehensive schematics and thorough edits of the information. |

CCHDO | CLIVAR & Carbon Hydrographic Data Office
June 2006 — Present
http://cchdo.ucsd.edu/
This is a mighty collaboration between my design intuition and the technical geniuses of my fellow co-workers to implements a lot of CSS, JavaScript, PERL, and Ruby. With this project, I have touched upon some PERL coding and fiddled around with UNIX and version control. |

Innovative Design & Engineering Applications
2006
http://gotidea.ucsd.edu/
This is a relatively new organization at UCSD - currently at its 6th year! It is an organization that promotes the use of engineering ingenuity and business acumen to market a useful product. 2 years ago we worked on an off-road wheelchair project. This past year we embarked on a new venture in the Triton Innovation Network to compete for $50K. It is a multi-phase contest and we placed in the top 8 position in the poster competition for our intelligent fire suppression system. |

Scripps Institute of Oceanography Online Giving
2006
After working for UCSD, External Relations for 2 years, I have learned how to work better with forms and this is proof. This page integrates some VBScript and JavaScript coding to ensure that the visitor reaches the appropriate destination to make their donation. |

UCSD, External Relations - IT Department
2006
Every time the IT Department works with a particular server, they need a reminder to log off and this webpage does that by sending an e-mail after 5 minutes of inactivity. The link is not provided because we don't want the guys at IT to think they need to log off.

AIAA@UCSD
2005 — 2007
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics chapter at UCSD needed to revamp their site - I couldn't pass up this chance! It gave me the opportunity to tell others about upcoming events with our chapter to further our knowledge in current aerospace practices and bond with fellow enthusiasts in these topics. |

Chancellor's Organization of Allied Students
2006 — 2007
After a long desire to revamp the website to catch more UCSD students' attention of their opportunity to represent the school, the proper edits were in order.
The Chancellor's Organization of Allied Students (COASt) - now called the Order of the Triton - is a student ambassador program that sends students from the six colleges to UCSD events and functions to facilitate conversation and help people understand UCSD better. |

UCSD Society of Women Engineers
2004 — 2006
I am an active proponent in supporting women engineers. A lot of young women decide to transfer out of an engineering major during their sophomore year because of the challenging courses that lie ahead. This organization provides support to help young, aspiring women engineers to continue to pursue engineering endeavors no matter what trials they face. We also provide events and socials to help with professional development and help members get in touch with industry. Last year's webmaster and the current webmaster has decided to keep this look of the website. |

The Netz (A Robot Created by Team 20/20
2004
http://maeprojects.ucsd.edu/
The first Mechanical and Aerospace design course I took was Engineering Graphics and Design. In this class, we were placed into teams of 4 to design and fabricate a robot that will compete in a competition (to gather balls suspended in the air by an air vent). We were also required to create a website to document the progress we made with our robots (AutoCAD drawings, task distribution, stress and moment analysis, etc.). This website is the culmination of our efforts. |

Community Outreach
2003-2004
I love volunteering and Revelle's Community Outreach was the right organization to find causes to support and lend a helping hand! We love to volunteer with the San Diego Special Olympic Greater Games, host beach clean-ups, serve at St. Vincent de Paul, and participate in fundraising walks for cancer and other ailments that plague our society. I revamped this site and created a new logo, but the current look available to the public was made by another member. People really liked the logo so the next webmaster continued to use it. Fabulous! |

Pimple Pictorial — Personal Website
2002
Pictures - I love 'em! There is hardly a moment outside of class where I don't have my camera. I took an introductory computing class for high school credit and we were required to make a website. I wanted my website to reflect my picture-taking ways and the Pictorial was breathed into life. |

|
Futomaki — A Mock Restaurant
2002
I took an Art Productions class in high school and one of the assignments was to make a business and create letterheads, envelopes, and a website for it. I am the ultimate sushi fanatic so it would only be fitting if my pseudo-business was a sushi bar in smog-infested L.A.. Futomaki is a large type of sushi roll. The bulgy-eyed logo was inspired by my one of my favorite cartoons - The Simpsons. Yum, I could go for some sushi now. |

AP Calculus
2002
I really excelled in math during my middle and high school years. What happened? Now I'm a mediocre student in mathematics. In high school I wanted my peers to also excel and be prepared for the AP Calculus test administered during the spring of 2002. This site provided the easiest way to distribute practice exams and solutions to homework with the instructor's permission and encouragement. Unfortunately, the host of this website shut it down. |

After the School Bell Rings
2001 — 2003
This organization is dear to me because it is an afterschool program that mainly has children coming from single-parent, low-to-middle income homes and I grew up in similar circumstances. Every time that I go home to L.A. I would always stop by and help out in any way I can. I worked on their website for a while to show pictures from the plays that they performed (and sometimes I compiled and edited these plays) and write some web articles for parents to read about what's going on with this youth center. Currently, they have a new web address and a new webmaster. |

|
Boogie Wonderland — Personal Website
2001 — 2003
I wanted more people to enjoy Oldies so I made this site o' lyrics. A lot of peers and kids nowadays do not appreciate popular music from the yesteryears. |
|
|
Hyped Sushi Creations — Personal Website
2001 — 2003
If I were to have my own personal web developing agency, it would be called Hyped Sushi Creations. It shows my very first attempt at flash, my first HTML guide I made for a friend, and ridiculous high school and middle school content that makes me chuckle heartily. If you had visited the Holler Outs section, you'll see more mini websites. |

Joy: A Class Project
2001
Teenagers - what do they know about joy? My 10th grade English class had a project on human emotions and my group had "Joy." I experienced great joy making this website with my best friend, who was also in the group. I enjoyed making the caricatures of our group members; my best friend loved making the title and animated gifs. Also, this was my first experience with manipulating JavaScript coding. This was the last time I used the Yahoo! Page Builder. That webpage generator is a joke. My knowledge of HTML grew and it's no joke that I'm a better webdesigner today than I was back in 2001. Geocities didn't like my inactivity so they decided to shut this site down too. |

Life on the Fast Lane - Personal Website
1999 — 2005
When Geocities was around, this was the personal website I refered everyone to if they ask me if I have a personal website. The last theme before Geocities was lost into oblivion, was Life on the Fast Lane because I feel like my college years were zipping by at light speed. The version before that was The Freak Domain, which reflected my teenage phase of moratorium where I believed I was a freak because I was so intriguingly different to peers - they never heard of Jane Fonda and her library of aerobic videos! |
